We love a good casual outfit and apparently so does Hannah of style blog Beautylishious who features the Lacey Sweater and who writes ‘my favourite clothing item of the moment, a slouchy, oversized, lace detailed jumper from Sugarhill Boutique. Paired with a leather jacket, scuffed up biker boots and a beanie this is my go-to uni outfit at the moment, with just the right balance of comfort and effort rolled into one look!’ We totally agree – see more from Hannah over at her blog here.

Natalie! Tell us about yourself, what do you do and how did you get into it?

I am a celebrity stylist/fashion consultant having set up Style Icon in 2005! My work has taken me across the world to NYC, Paris and other UK destinations besides London. I style private and celebrity clients for red carpet events, personal shop for my clients and host fashion events as a way of discovering new designer talent to collaborate with! My recent projects include Styling The Noisettes, working with Matt Le Tissier; legendary footballer and collaborating with Clothes Show Live in December last year!

What are your thoughts on the Sugarhill Spring/Summer Collections?

The Sugarhill collection, I find, is quite retro!! Most of the pieces in the collection are adorned with quirky prints like the guitar print blouse, and smock dress with in the bicycle print. When I first saw the collection those pieces really stood out because they look so different. I love a well fitted piece that compliments your body but I am also drawn to colour and prints!! Hence why I like this collection! It’s young, fun and vibrant.

The bicycle print dress is very quirky! I like the way it gathers at the waist but falls loosely as opposed to being fitted. This dress is a great ready to wear piece that you can dress up or down. Cowboy boots would look cool with this dress, or any casual boot for that matter. For the evening, I think a pair of patent red court shoes would compliment the subtle tone of red in the dress. A very versatile piece.

I think the Lacey shorts with mint coloured Picture Perfect top are a great combo! This would look fantastic in the summer! The top is less revealing which is ideal if you’re wearing shorts… Showing too much all at once is a little off putting! For a summery look, stick to white shoes. I love to accessorise so I would add a brooch to the top and a summer hat to achieve an entire look.

We’ll have post featuring Natalie with a selection of pieces from our Summer Collection coming soon….
